It’s All About Training Leaders.

Ministry leaders continue to be equipped, educated and resourced through informal, non-formal and formal measures.  They are eager to receive in-person teaching as well as Zoom-based classes. In 2019, SOS International equipped more than 7,770 ministry leaders in 16 countries.  During the COVID-19 disruption of 2020 and 2021, more than 3,500 leaders per year directly benefitted from trainers supplied by SOS International.

In October of 2022, 25 selected ministry leaders from 11 African countries gathered in Ethiopia to receive specialized training during the SOS Africa Academy. Topics included issues related to leadership, marriage, teamwork, evangelism and discipleship. The growing geographical impact of SOS International’s strategic training objectives will bear fruit in many more countries throughout Africa.

In October of 2023, 28 ministry leaders from 19 African countries benefitted from coming together in Ghana for the SOS Africa Academy 2023. They received strategic and professional training from our SOS International and SOS Africa trainers on the topics they needed most.

Those who are trained by and through SOS International and SOS Africa are charged with entrusting to faithful leaders what has been entrusted to them through SOS International. By the grace of God, more than 5,000 ministry leaders are equipped in Africa, and another 2,500 receive training in South Asia, the Caribbean and parts of Europe.

SOS International frequently invites seasoned leaders to teach ministry leaders through opportunities that are vetted and approved by SOS International staff. Some of these leaders are from Western countries and some are our Associates who have been trained and approved by SOS International.
